Online business wins national award
A Woy Woy resident has won a national business award for her online store.
Owner of Ruby's Home Store, Ms Jane Fonti, has been recognised as a "Local Business Hero" under the Australian Post Local Business Heroes program.
She is one of 100 local businesses from around Australia, receiving financial and marketing support through the program.
She has received a package valued at more than $5000 to help her reach new customers.
Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch said: "Local businesses are the backbone to our community and it's fantastic to see such a deserving winner here on the Peninsula."
Federal Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid said: "A nurse of 40 years, Jane has given so much to supporting her community.
"It is so delightful to see her recognised by Australia Post with this business support."
Ms Fonti said Ruby's Home Store, rubyshomestore.com.au, specialised in British products and Australian designer brands that fitted her values.
